Oh Zeus!

If you love the irreverent mythology of Percy Jackson, the glorious chaos of The Play That Goes Wrong, the camp excess of The Rocky Horror Show, and the anarchic humour of Mel Brooks, then Oh Zeus! by La Navet Bete is an absolute must-see.
Set amongst the squabbling gods of Olympus, the story follows Hebe, daughter of Zeus, as she prepares to marry a mortal hotel owner named Greg. While Hera wholeheartedly supports the union—largely because it infuriates her husband—Zeus is determined to throw every divine obstacle imaginable into the wedding plans.
Matt Freeman, Nick Bunt and Al Dunn perform an astonishing array of characters, switching between gods, mortals and monsters with seemingly effortless comic brilliance.

Drawing from genuine Greek mythology, the show packs in familiar deities and legends, all reimagined with a wonderfully cheeky, larger-than-life energy.
What follows is two hours of relentless laughter, packed with musical numbers, ingenious special effects, physical comedy and gloriously silly set pieces. The cast's timing is impeccable, the writing razor-sharp, and the sheer inventiveness on display never lets the pace drop.

Oh Zeus! is the kind of show that reminds you just how much fun theatre can be: inventive, joyful, clever and completely unafraid to be ridiculous. Whether you're a mythology enthusiast, a Percy Jackson fan, or simply someone who enjoys laugh-out-loud comedy, this is a production that deserves a much wider audience.
A thunderbolt of comic genius from La Navet Bete.
