Sara Poyzer (Mamma Mia West End, Billy Elliot) will play feisty Donna Sheridan, caught between forging her life on her own and the loves she left behind. Calling on her childhood friends and members of Donna and the Dynamos, Rosie (Nicky Swift - Les Mis, Shirley Valentine) and man-eater Tanya (Helen Anker - My Fair Lady, Curtains) to come and help her celebrate the wedding of her daughter Sophie (Jena Pandya – What’s New Pussycat, Mamma Mia) to local boy Sky (Toby Miles – Priscilla, Les Mis), Donna thinks the only problems she's going to have is making sure the decorations are all up in time.

Unbeknownst to Donna, Sophie has also invited her 3 ‘dads’ - Sam Carmichael (Richard Standing – Holby City, Coronation Street) , Bill Austin (Phil Corbitt – Emmerdale, Coronation Street and a brilliant panto dame) and Harry Bright (Daniel Crowder – Ladies of Letters, Doctors). All three were loves of Donna's on the island many years ago, in fact almost as many years as Sophie has been alive..... As she isn’t quite sure who is her biological father it seems only right to have all 3 there and hence the game is afoot as to whether she can fathom out which is her real dad before Donna uncovers her subterfuge and throws them all off the island.

Judy Craymer, Creator and Producer of MAMMA MIA! said “I’m really excited that MAMMA MIA! will be touring the UK once again in 2022. We can’t wait to bring the feel-good story and much-loved music of ABBA to new and returning audiences across the country.”

Fall in love with the irresistibly funny tale of a mother, a daughter and three possible dads on a Greek island idyll, all unfolding to the magic of ABBA’s timeless songs.

The new UK Tour celebrates 22 years since MAMMA MIA! premiered in London in April 1999. To date, MAMMA MIA! has been seen by over 65 million people in 50 productions in 16 different languages. In 2011 it became the first Western musical ever to be staged in Mandarin in the People’s Republic of China. MAMMA MIA! became the 8th longest running show in Broadway history where it played a record-breaking run for 14 years.
